Product overview

360° Type II Protection for High-Risk Work Environments

The LAND Frontier Type II Class E Safety Helmet is designed for professionals who need advanced head protection in demanding electrical, construction, utility, and industrial environments. Certified to ANSI/ISEA Z89.1-2014 (R2019) Type II Class E requirements and OSHA compliant, the Frontier provides protection against top, front, side, and rear impacts while also providing electrical protection for high-voltage work environments.

Its non-vented Class E construction, impact-absorbing EPS liner, secure chin strap, and adjustable suspension system make the Frontier a dependable choice for utility crews, electricians, tower climbers, construction professionals, telecommunications workers, and industrial teams.

Type II 360° Impact Protection

Unlike Type I helmets designed primarily for top-of-head impacts, the Frontier Type II is engineered to provide additional protection against impacts from the front, sides, and rear of the head.

A durable ABS outer shell works together with an energy-absorbing EPS liner to help manage impact forces from multiple directions. This added coverage makes the Frontier especially suited for environments where workers may encounter falling objects, swinging equipment, structural hazards, or other potential impact risks.

Class E Electrical Protection

The Frontier Class E features a non-vented shell designed for professionals working around electrical hazards. Its Class E rating provides electrical protection for high-voltage work environments while maintaining the Type II impact protection required for demanding jobsites.

This combination of Type II and Class E protection makes the Frontier particularly useful for electrical utilities, power and energy operations, telecommunications, industrial maintenance, and construction environments where both impact and electrical hazards may be present.

Durable ABS Shell & EPS Impact Liner

The Frontier combines a rugged ABS outer shell with a high-performance EPS impact-absorbing liner for dependable protection without unnecessary bulk. The shell provides a durable first layer of protection, while the EPS liner helps absorb and distribute impact energy.

Its balanced, low-profile construction is designed to support comfortable extended wear without compromising the protective coverage required from a Type II helmet.

Secure, Adjustable Fit

An ergonomic suspension system distributes the helmet's weight across the head to help reduce pressure points during long shifts. The oversized ratcheting dial provides quick, glove-friendly fit adjustments for head sizes ranging from 52–64 cm.

A secure 4-point chin strap helps keep the helmet properly positioned during climbing, bending, elevated work, sudden movement, and other active jobsite tasks.

The moisture-wicking sweatband helps manage perspiration throughout the workday and can be removed and machine washed for easier cleaning and maintenance.

Accessory-Ready Modular Design

The Frontier is designed to adapt to different jobs and PPE requirements. Universal side accessory slots support compatible hearing protection, face shields, and visor systems, allowing workers to configure their helmet based on the task and work environment.

A dedicated front accessory slot provides convenient integration for compatible headlamps and ID accessories, helping crews build a complete above-the-neck PPE system around a single helmet platform.

Professional Logo Customization

The Frontier's clean shell design provides space for company logos, identification, or safety messaging, making it well suited for contractors and organizations outfitting entire crews.

Custom branding can help businesses maintain a consistent, professional appearance across their workforce while providing employees with certified head protection designed for demanding professional environments.

    FAQ

    Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the Frontier and a standard cap-style hard hat?

A standard cap-style hard hat is usually Type I, protects only against top impact, and uses basic suspension. The Frontier is Type II (360-degree protection), uses a dense EPS foam liner for impact absorption (like a climbing helmet, not just a plastic shell), includes a 4-point chinstrap that keeps it on during a fall, and is built with proprietary in-house tooling. It's a meaningful step up in protection and engineering.

What do Class C, E, and G mean on the Frontier?

Class C means vented (allows airflow). Class E means electrical protection. Class G means general protection. The Frontier carries all three classifications, making it one of the most versatile certified helmets available across construction, utility, and industrial applications.

Can I add my company logo to the Frontier?

Absolutely. We offer custom branding options including pad printing and vinyl decals. Contact our sales team for bulk customization orders.

What accessories are compatible with the Frontier?

The Frontier features both universal side slots (for visors, earmuffs, headlamps from Stihl, Husqvarna, 3M, Peltor, and others) and a dedicated frontal accessory slot designed for clip-on headlamps and ID badges. It's built to integrate with the full ecosystem of jobsite PPE.

    What does the warranty cover?

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for 5 years from the date of purchase. Normal wear and tear is not included.

How do I adjust the suspension system?

The Frontier uses an oversized ratcheting dial-fit system sized intentionally for glove use. It adjusts one-handed across head sizes 52 to 64 cm, locking in a precise fit that holds through dynamic movement.
