Frontier Type II Class E (Non-Vented)

This is a very solid hard hat. It is well padded with hard styrofoam and some thin cloth padding. The webbing is free from defects and the stitching is excellent. The rear adjuster is easy to use and feels robust. For comfort, I prefer helmets that have a suspension system instead of foam, but if you need foam this is fairly comfortable. The fit and finish is excellent, and it is fairly lightweight for how much plastic and foam there is.The accessory attachment point in the front works seamlessly with their headlamp.Overall, I can’t find anything wrong with this. It appears to do its job well, and looks very nice doing it. Safety equipment really needs to be perfect to get a 5 star rating in my opinion, and this deserves it.

First off this helmet is very comfortable and between the quality 4 point straps and fully adjustable rear it is able to fit a wide range of head sizes without having to worry about it bouncing around or being too tight. The helmet has built in mounts on the front and sides for lights or shields which is a huge plus. The only downside is that it isn't vented but considering a good vented option is about twice the price and isn't always needed then this helmet will do just fine.

This helmet is surprisingly lightweight and very comfortable to wear with quite a bit of padding.It's also adjustable in quite a few ways to really be able to dial in the fit.I got this for when I do semi-sketchy yard work, like trimming branches and such, so in case something goes wrong, I at least have some level of extra protection.Seems like great quality and hopefully I never have to find out how well it works.

I have owned a large amount of PPE equipment in my life so I know quality PPE (Personal Protection Equipment), and this ANSI Type II Work Safety Helmet is among the absolute BEST! I love this design because it doesn’t block your view or create blind spots. Lightweight, heavy duty, high quality, precision craftsmanship. Guaranteed top and side head protection. Very comfortable adjustable fit. Includes an adjustable chin strap and every accessory connection point you could want! It really doesn’t get much better than this! Definitely an excellent value for the money and worth every penny. A product I highly recommend to anybody. FIVE STAR product is my honest professional opinion.

The headband ratchet tightens down well and really holds onto your head. Having the chin strap is nice for extra security, but the headstrap feels more than strong enough.It is a rather basic looking helmet. A few accessory features, but rather sparse in appearance.The inner EPS liner does make the helmet sit a bit higher on my head than I'd like. Really isn't that bad, I feel I'm being picky. I also do not wear a helmet daily for work, so other Type 2 helmets with inner liners might be the same.Comfort is decent. Save for the liner making it sit higher, as I mentioned. The one I received is not vented, although I am not sure how much the venting would really help. During my short test fit (5-10mins) in mild climate (around 60F) I could already feel the helmet heating up. As I said, I do not frequently wear a helmet for work, so I am unsure how hot these are to wear in general. Given the very hot tropical climate where I operate, I expect this helmet to be very warm to wear.Also on the topic of vented and non-vented... all of the helmet options on the product page are vented, yet the one I was sent is not. The product link for the one I ordered goes directly to this listing. Not sure what's up with that? The price was the same at $62.99.I do like that the moisture pad is removable. However I am not satisfied with the method of attachment. There are small 1/2in hook-loop discs with adhesive stuck to the EPS foam. As you can see in the photos, 2 of those discs pulled right off of the foam when I removed the liner. This was right out of the box. I had not worn the helmet at all, and it was not hot outside (mid 60F that day). I can not see those discs staying stuck to the foam with frequent use, or in warm climates.Not sure what the long term reliability will be like on this helmet. I have a feeling the sweat liner will fall out with frequent wear, and users will end up being forced to wear the helmet without the liner. Time till tell I supposed.Other than that, the helmet feels decent quality for the price point. Looks to be 10-15 cheaper than the average Type 2 on Amazon.If you're on a tight budget and need this level of protection, this should be a reasonable pick. This is an extremely comfortable, convenient, and effective safety helmet. The dial adjustment at the back is extremely quick and convenient. It has foam for the entire interior below the plastic shell, so it's slightly heavier than some helmets, but offers good protection from impact from all sides. The phone has multiple holes for crush absorption and ventilation, though the helmet shell has no vents, so it might get a bit more when you really working on a hot day.The chin strap material, only the parts below the chin, is vinyl. Some people might find this more comfortable, but I'm a little surprised at that choice, though I lack experience with it to make any judgment on whether it's better than the more typical half inch webbing.Rather than plastic to hold a headlamp band in place, this one has slots on the side and front where you can insert optional add-ons like face shields.All in all, a very good helmet. If you need a type 2, then this is a good one, but if not, then Land makes some other excellent models which I would prefer.

Quality helmet that adjust for not only comfort, but fit. I really like the adjuster, it helps to create a tight but comfortable grip on the back of your head. I think it is an excellent value for the money, as you can wear in just about any situation requiring a helmet. The shell is very durable, and can take a good smacking. I am very pleased with the purchase, and will recommend.

This helmet is good quality and thick material. This helmet has good levels of protection and has good impact. The helmet fits snug and is fitted to the head. The inside of the helmet has hard foam and soft foam pieces that are Velcro and removable. There’s a sweat absorbent lining on the inside of the helmet as well that is removable and washable. The buckle and chin strap have a clip closure. You can turn the ratchet knob counterclockwise to open the headband larger, then put the helmet on and turn the ratchet clockwise until the headband feels secure. The suspension has 2 positions, if you pull the key peg out you can move it high or low. There’s good ventilation and it’s made well.

OSHA and ANSI approval is reassuring and gives you confidence that the helmet will get the job done. In the summer, a white helmet will be cooler than a darker helmet, which is one advantage. They are durable, comfortable, and lightweight. The helmet is non-vented for electrical protection. It has lots of extra padding for comfort. A good value.

This is a review of the Land helmet ANSI type 2 class E hard hat.My first impression was this is a high quality helmet design for daily industrial use.The first thing to note is this is an OSHA compliant hard hat designed for construction and other industrial type work where high quality head protection is required.The helmet is designed with multiple layers of protection to absorb impacts from the top as well as the back and sides. Materials used are abs, expanded polystyrene and very tough polycarbonate.What I like best about this helmet is the full adjustability. At the back you have a twist knob for quick adjustments to fit the circumference of your head.The chin strap provides a 4-point mounting system for high stability whether you bend over shake your head or are climbing. I would like to have had the option to add a chin cup to the strap. However I suspect that one is not included due to the specific compliance regulations. Typically when you do not have a chin cup the strap underneath your chin won't come off easily. However in certain uses a chin cup that allows the helmet strap to come off more easily may be desired such as if one fell and the helmet was caught under the chin.One other feature I specifically like is the slot on the front of the helmet designed to hold a slide in lighting system.Note because of the full protection of this helmet it is not vented so some may find it a little warmer to wear and heated environments. But again I'm sure this is because of the need to meet certain ANSI and OSHA specifications.Overall I would recommend this helmet, just be sure it meets your needs as well as the OSHA requirements for your job site.

I got this helmet for my dad who works in a manufacturing, and safety is always at the front of my mind when it comes to his job. This one really stood out because it doesn’t just protect from impacts on top - it’s designed to handle bumps and hits from all sides. That extra coverage gives me a lot more peace of mind.My dad’s been wearing it daily and said it’s really comfortable. The padded liner and sweatband make a big difference, and the dial in the back makes it easy to adjust without fighting with it. The chin strap keeps it secure, but not in an annoying way. He’s on his feet and moving around a lot, so it’s nice knowing it stays in place.The shell feels really solid and durable, and the electrical safety rating is another layer of reassurance since he’s around equipment and wiring. It’s not super lightweight, but it doesn’t feel heavy or bulky either - just sturdy and well-built.Overall, I’m really happy with this. It feels like real protection, not just a checkbox item. This is an excellent helmet adjustment wise. There's lots of adjustment for good fit. This is more of like a climbing. Helmet, it's designed for side impact and upper impact. It's got a foam in line. A Styrofoam liner all the way around it. It's got great adjustability where you can adjust the harness for the chin strap and things and the head size is adjustable by a rotating knob. And it will adjust to position with with on the side. It's got the there's pag and it goes into the hole on the tab to the side of it which will lock it in the flash in the proper position behind your headIt is a little difficult to do. But once it's done, it puts that adjustable head strap for diameter in your head in a good position. It's also got a very small brim in the front and back, which gives you greater eye visibility of side clearance. And also looks like it's designed. So you can put a face shield on it or mount a headlamp in the front.I'm gonna be painting black.And i'm gonna be using it for climbing repelling and things like that.It's quality made it says it's level two, so it's gotta be durable.It is comfortable, and it is a little.Heavy but not a lot value for the money.Anything that saves you from head injury is worth every penny.In this case, it's an excellent helmet for the price
