Why Did a Helmet Company Make Rope Clips?
Helmets are still what we do. But sometimes the field shows us a small problem worth solving.
LAND is primarily a helmet company, so rope management clips may seem like an unexpected addition to our lineup.
The reason is simple:
A customer asked. We listened. We made it.
An end user told us it would be convenient if LAND could supply rope management clips along with the rest of their gear. Because we work directly with manufacturing and product development, it was the kind of practical request we could turn into a real product.
That request became the LAND Rope Clip 3-Pack.
A Small Problem in the Tree
When you’re working aloft, there is already plenty of equipment to manage—positioning lanyards, climbing rope, harnesses, tools, and accessories.
Excess rope and rope tails can hang away from the harness, move around during climbing, and potentially snag on branches or other equipment.
It may not be the biggest problem on the job, but it is an annoying one.
And sometimes those are exactly the problems worth solving.
A Simple Rope-Management Solution
The LAND Rope Clip is designed to help keep excess rope contained and closer to the climber’s setup.
Its secure bi-directional grip helps reduce unwanted rope payout and snagging while still allowing the rope to be clipped in and removed quickly.
The idea is simple:
Less loose rope. Less snagging. A cleaner climbing setup.
The clips can be used with:
- Positioning lanyards
- Rope tails
- Excess rope
- Arborist saddles and climbing harnesses

They accommodate rope up to 1/2 in. (13 mm) in diameter.
