LAND Helmets at PTCA Field Day San Diego — Real Feedback from Arborists & Tree Care Professionals
We had an amazing time at PTCA Field Day at Balboa Park in San Diego, connecting directly with arborists, landscapers, and other tree care professionals.
Our original plan was simply to display our LAND safety helmets and arborist gear, let end users try the products, and gather honest feedback.
What happened surprised us.
So many people commented on the comfortable fit, lightweight feel, and overall design of our helmets. We weren’t even planning to sell at the event, the products were there for display and try-on only.
But people kept asking:
“Can I buy this one?”
By the end of the day, all of our helmet samples were sold out. Apparently, “just try it on” quickly became “I want it now!” 😂
Our newly launched Mini Wedge Sets also attracted a lot of attention from arborists and tree care professionals, with many people eager to take them home right away.
Another highlight was our Safari Helmet, which was especially popular with landscapers and outdoor professionals. It even caught the attention of an environmental engineer who frequently performs field testing near rivers. He was looking for a helmet that could provide sun coverage together with practical head protection for outdoor work.
For those of us involved in helmet product development, this kind of day is incredibly rewarding.
Nothing replaces spending time with real end users—watching how they interact with a product, understanding what feels comfortable, hearing what they like, and learning how they actually use their equipment in the field
For me, that is even more rewarding than simply making a sale.
Because great safety helmets, arborist equipment, and PPE products are ultimately developed by listening to the people who use them every day.

We learned a lot, had a great time, and we will definitely be back next year—with even more LAND products to share!
